In 1953, James Ford Bell, the founder of General Mills, presented his collectopn of rare books to the University of Minnesota. The collection consisted of about 600 books. From that time until his death in 1961, Bell and curator, John Parker, expanded the library and determined its scope. Over the next forty years it grew to more that 15,000 titles plus manuscripts and maps. Its subject is the Expansion of Europe 1400 - 1800. No dust jacket as issued. Very Fine. ID#: 4455
