KALAHARI SAND
Hunter Books
"W30860" G. Bell, London 1953,, illustrated with B & W photographs, drawings and maps., 189 pages. Account of two expeditions in that strange, dry area, so often miscalled he Kalahari Desert, which occupies most of the Bechuanaland Protectorate in southern Africa. The author's primary concern in going there was to assess the water resources of the country -- the people, the animals, the birds and the plant life. The manners of the only real inhabitants, the little yellow bushmen, and the excitement of big game all come into the picture, as also does Laurens van der Post, who organized and managed the second expedition. Dust jacket is unclipped and is complete with little wear. The book is Fine.  ID#: 4161
